Pithy is designed to give you a calm Gmail brief while limiting access to specific Gmail fields and avoiding full email bodies or attachments.
Pithy only uses the Gmail fields needed to create your morning brief: sender, subject line, date received, snippet, unread state, and thread ID. If you choose to connect Google Calendar after launch, Pithy may read calendar event details to add time-aware context. It does not fetch the full content of your emails.
Pithy never fetches full email bodies or attachments, so that content never becomes part of your brief.
Pithy stores extension data locally where possible. To generate AI triage, Pithy may send sender, subject line, date received, snippet, unread state, thread ID, and optional calendar context to Pithy's Cloudflare Worker and to Groq for AI categorization. This processing is used to classify messages and prepare your brief.
Pithy does not fetch full email bodies or attachments for this processing.
Pithy is built to use as little access as possible. It only uses the fields needed for your brief, avoids full email bodies and attachments, and does not load third-party trackers on this site.
This website also uses browser protections that help block unsafe content and turn off features the site does not need.
Pithy never sells your data. Pithy uses service providers, including Cloudflare Workers and Groq, to process the Gmail fields listed above for triage and AI categorization.
Pithy's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Data processed via Pithy's Cloudflare Workers and Groq is ephemeral and is not stored persistently on our servers. All subscription payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers (such as ExtensionPay/Stripe). Pithy does not process or store your credit card information.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. Because Pithy largely relies on local storage, you can exercise your right to deletion by simply uninstalling the Pithy extension from your browser.
To delete local Pithy data, uninstall the extension from Chrome. This removes data stored by the extension on your device.
